Based at the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry and sponsored by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Emory College Office of Faculty, the Digital Publishing in the Humanities initiative aims to support the development and publication of digital and open access monographs by faculty at metro-Atlanta institutions.
The Emory Center for Digital Scholarship (ECDS) provides consulting expertise, project coordination, and a technology-rich collaborative space for faculty, staff, and students to incorporate digital tools and methods into research, teaching, and publishing. The multidisciplinary ECDS staff of scholars, librarians, faculty, and graduate students work with individuals at Emory and partner institutions to create innovative and sustainable models of digital scholarship and pedagogy for academic and public use.
The Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry is Emory University’s hub for the humanities, advancing research, writing, and creative works among faculty research fellows, postdoctoral fellows, PhD completion fellows, and undergraduate honors research fellows, and convening scholars across a wide range of disciplines, methods, and modes of creative practice. The FCHI serves both those trained in the humanities as traditionally defined and also others across the university who are interested in humanistic issues, with outreach to faculty and students in the social sciences, the sciences, and the professional schools as an important part of its work.
